Tomorrow's Journalism

Joint Simulation

This photo series is captured from the eyes of a photojournalist many years from now, documenting the social-economical effects that an automated workforce has had on the world.

Set in the not-so-distant future, humanity has not had to deal with the armies of killer robots that we initially feared… although, robots are now everywhere and a part of everything, becoming a silent killer of society. One by one, replacing our workforce - and in the blink of an eye pushed the already unbalanced wealth gap to an economical collapse. The wealthy, the 1%, weren’t initially worried by the shelf stacking robots, or the amazon delivery drivers until robots' rate of learning, and man’s own ignorance to this fact, saw them quickly working their way through fintech, biomedical, and even though the creative industries. The once rife western world, driven by capitalism, slowly started to fall, as greed held no power in this new machine dawn.
