Datatonic, a Google partner and leading ML (Machine Learning) expert, are showcasing their latest ML solutions at the annual Google Next event.
Datatonic came to Humble wanting some form of interactive engagement for the event. We proposed the use of AR(augmented reality) as a means to illustrate how their ML systems were used by ZSL (zoological society London) to categories and long animals on the african savanna - keeping them safe from poachers.
The piece used a table top as a tracking marker and a focal point at the booth. Users could use a Samsung tablet to see the terrain on the table come to life, as elephants, zeras, rhinos and crocodiles wondered their surroundings. Users then had to race against the clock to see how many animals they could find in order to beat the Datanoic’s ML system.
